Job summary

Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Assistant for a part-time role on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with every other weekend. You will develop and implement engaging programs for residents, coordinate with the Activities Director, and document progress.

You will plan monthly calendars, contribute to newsletters, and ensure safety and infection control. Requires a high school diploma; prior long-term care experience is a plus. DailyPay and other benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Ability to work with residents with varied backgrounds and needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activity programs appropriate to residents based on backgrounds, needs and interests.
• Assist in evaluating residents with the Activities Director.
• Document activity plans and progress notes as directed.
• Plan and set up each assigned activity, gather supplies, rearrange rooms, etc.
• Develop and distribute monthly activity calendars and post them around the facility.
• Assist in developing and maintaining facility newsletters.
• Comply with safety, infection control, and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
