Job summary

Canyon Creek Memory Care is seeking a Part Time Activities Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals who care for residents and their families. You will assist the Activities Director in planning engaging events and supportive programs that respect resident individuality and promote participation.

You should be energetic, friendly, creative, and a strong communicator, with the ability to motivate residents and work well with staff in a compassionate, family‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Is energetic, personable, enthusiastic and imaginative.
• Able to communicate intentions and directions to residents and staff.
• Demonstrates effective oral and written language skills.
• Possesses knowledge of the physical and emotional aspects of aging.
• Ability to motivate and positively influence residents.

Responsibilities

• Participates with the Activities Director in creating a multi-faceted calendar for all care levels.
• Assists with leading activities and encouraging resident participation.
• Helps with designated administrative tasks such as posting calendars and sign-up sheets.
• Transports residents to functions using company vehicles where applicable.
• Supports residents who lead activities to promote pride and involvement.
