Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator in Tacoma to cultivate meaningful connections with residents through person-centered programming and events. You will collaborate with community leadership to plan activities, coordinate calendars, and enhance overall resident satisfaction.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to support residents through engaging programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs for adults.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a person-centered approach to foster positive perceptions of aging and build resident relationships.
• Develops a monthly activity calendar with residents based on shared interests.
• Collaborates with the leadership team to plan, coordinate, and execute community events.
• Plans resident engagement activities and may drive a community vehicle for off-site events.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a person-centered approach starting with positive perceptions of aging, while building relationships and connections amongst residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar, in partnership with residents, based on residents’ shared interests.
• Collaborates with community leadership team to plan, coordinate, and execute special events at the community including, but not limited to, holiday, family, educational, and other marketing events.
• Plans and schedules meaningful opportunities for resident engagement outside the community, which may include driving a community vehicle.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1 year of direct experience with adults, coordinating, planning, and executing programs is required. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or other related field preferred. Leadership experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver’s license based on the needs of the community
