Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator to support programs and activities for residents. You will coordinate, plan, and execute engaging activities, work with residents to develop a monthly calendar, and collaborate with the community leadership team to host events both in-house and in the broader community.

This role emphasizes resident-centered programming, teamwork with staff, and opportunities for career growth within Brookdale.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs for adults.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and execute programs for residents.
• Develop and manage a monthly calendar of activities in partnership with residents.
• Collaborate with the community leadership team to plan, coordinate, and execute events (holiday, family, educational, and other marketing events).
• Plan and schedule meaningful engagement opportunities for residents outside the community, including driving a community vehicle.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of direct experience with adults, coordinating, planning, and executing programs is required. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or other related field preferred. Leadership experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license based on the needs of the community
