Job summary

Silverado is seeking a Resident Engagement (Activities) Assistant in St. Charles to creatively and compassionately bring joy and purpose to residents’ lives. You’ll help design daily programs, facilitate small-group enrichment, and support therapy sessions with energy and empathy.

This full-time role emphasizes teamwork and resident-centered engagement, with paid training and growth opportunities. You’ll work Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with pay between $18 and $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Effective communicator in English.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable around animals and pets.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
• Previous experience with older adults or memory care preferred.
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Resident Engagement in planning and leading daily activity programs.
• Organize and facilitate memory enrichment activities for small groups.
• Encourage resident participation and celebrate achievements.
• Prepare materials and conduct research for recreational programs.
• Support music and occupational therapy sessions.
