Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Food Handlers Card as required.
• Experience as Wait Staff preferred.
• Mathematical skills: ability to count.
• Oral/written communication: follow written and oral directions.
• Physical effort: be mobile and able to meet job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Assist residents with menu selections and take food and beverage orders.
• Coordinate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure accuracy of orders.
• Prepare dining room prior to meals and maintain cleanliness and stocking.
• Deliver meals to resident rooms as required and bus tables after meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and report safety issues.
