Job summary

Avella of Roseville seeks a server to provide meals and beverages to residents with courtesy and professionalism. You will work weekends as part of a full-time schedule, handle POS orders, assist with menu selections, and help maintain dining room cleanliness.

You must be at least 18, have a high school diploma (preferred), and pass background/health screenings. CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certs may be required. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer six months experience in food and beverage.
• Able to operate standard cooking equipment and utensils.
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care.
• Able to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Must pass background check and health screenings; CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s certification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Stock bar with wine, beer, liquor, mixers and garnishes; serve beverages and assist with wine/beer service.
• Take orders via POS accurately and enter to-go orders per procedures.
• Ensure orders match preparation and accommodate special requests.
• Bus tables, reset dining areas, and maintain cleanliness of dining room and stations.
• Deliver meals to resident rooms as required and assist with inventory and dishwashing when needed.
• Respond to resident concerns professionally and escalate to supervisor when needed.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and comply with safety policies and trainings.
