Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Summerville, SC is seeking a Server to courteously serve meals to residents and guests, help with menu orders, provide beverages, and assist with tray service and dining room cleanup.

The role requires attention to residents' needs, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adherence to uniforms, hygiene, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests meals courteously and assist with menu orders.
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea).
• Assist with tray service and dining room cleanup and reset after meals.
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understand sit-down service and proper serving techniques.
• Observe food storage and labeling practices.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.
