Job summary

Mission Point Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Food and Nutrition Aide to provide meals to residents, guests, and staff under sanitary conditions and per dietary policies. You will assist in kitchen operations and support meal service.

Responsibilities include preparing salads and desserts, setting up trays, delivering trays, maintaining hygiene, following portion controls, and reporting safety hazards. Prior food service experience is desirable with emphasis on courtesy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions, including some calculations.
• Basic knowledge of food service sanitation and safety.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve salads and desserts using standardized recipes.
• Set up trays quickly and neatly according to the posted menu.
• Deliver trays to resident areas and assist with distribution.
• Follow dietary guidelines, adhere to portion controls and mealtime schedules.
• Maintain clean work areas and report safety hazards.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training as required.
