Job summary

Highland View Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a dependable and dedicated Cook to join our dietary team. The Cook is responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals for our residents in accordance with dietary guidelines and facility policies.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, following menus and portion guidelines, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, long-term care, or a similar setting.
• Knowledge of safe food preparation and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals in large quantities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to excellent resident care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Follow menus, recipes, and portion guidelines accurately.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed.
