Job summary

Eskaton is seeking a Wait Person to ensure timely setup, service, and cleanup for meals, delivering friendly and courteous care to residents. This role supports dining operations and emphasizes quality service in a nonprofit aging care setting.

The position requires flexibility for on-call evening shifts, adherence to safety and dietary guidelines, and a commitment to Eskaton’s values and standards. Training and certification are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in restaurant or food service preferred.
• California Food Handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set wait station(s) and keep stations stocked and clean.
• Bus and reset tables as needed.
• Take resident meal orders per diets and preferences with courtesy.
• Assist with preparing plates and serving residents.
• Perform opening and closing duties promptly.
• Inform cooks and supervisor of questions or problems.
• Assist at special events when requested.
• Follow food service disaster plan.
