Job summary

Aperion Care Westchester is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and serving according to planned menus and dietary orders. You will help maintain sanitary kitchen and dining areas, perform dishwashing, and deliver snacks and meals to residents.

The role requires patience, reliability, and adherence to infection control practices. The position focuses on supporting residents with nutritious meals, maintaining cleanliness, and working as part of the dietary team in a care

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must maintain supplies, equipment, and cleanliness of work areas to ensure sanitation, order, and safety.
• Must be patient, cheerful, and able to handle residents with varied maturity levels.
• Must be willing to incorporate new methods and principles into food practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals according to planned menus and dietary orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe department; follow infection control precautions.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning and ensure utensils are ready for the next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, serve food in dining rooms, and assist with delivery to designated areas.
