Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dining server to courteously serve meals to residents and guests at our Virginia Beach location. The role includes beverage service, tray handling, and maintaining dining room cleanliness, with attention to residents’ special needs.

The position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.

Responsibilities

• The Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.
• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea)
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal
• Assists with tray service
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information
• Interacts in a polite and considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors
