Job summary

Riverfront Rehab is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for residents, staff and visitors. The role requires following recipes, meeting mealtime schedules and assisting with cleaning duties, under the direction of the Food Service Director.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer experience in institutional food handling. The position offers full-time hours, benefits and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in institutional food handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles and prepares food following sanitary regulations.
• Prepares meals as prescribed for residents by the physician.
• Meets meal schedules and reduces food waste.
• Care for dietary equipment and production sheets.
• Follows menus and special diet instructions.
• Communicates with the Food Service Director.
• Cooperates with other staff and facility personnel.
• Ensures high-quality service in a caring environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
