The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with nursing home or healthcare food service experience preferred. Candidates should be team-oriented, driven, and committed to resident nutrition and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in nursing homes or healthcare facility food service is preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for individual resident needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes to improve taste and nutrition.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
