Job summary

Vicar's Landing, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to support dining experiences for residents in our assisted living community.

You will combine traditional waitstaff duties with a person-centered approach, sit with residents, encourage independence, and help ensure meals are served safely and with compassion. Responsibilities include setting up dining rooms, taking orders, assisting with seating, and collaborating with nursing staff to accommodate dietary needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare is preferred.
• Ability to work with older adults in a memory care setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining rooms prior to meal service and maintain cleanliness.
• Take meal orders and serve meals and beverages promptly.
• Sit with residents to foster social interaction and dignity.
• Follow dietary restrictions and therapeutic diet guidelines.
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen support as needed.
• Observe resident needs and report changes to staff.
