Job summary

SEM Haven is seeking a Homemaker who will work collaboratively to support residents in daily life within the home. You will assist with housekeeping, meal service, and personal care while upholding current standards and fostering a respectful, resident-centered environment.

The role requires patience, strong communication, and flexibility to adapt duties for the good of the home and its residents. ADA accommodations are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• State Tested Nurse Aide certificate or Feeding Assistant certificate preferred; Food safety training preferred.
• Freedom from illegal drugs and alcohol in the workplace is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation/serving and daily housekeeping tasks.
• Pick up clutter, remove trash, clean spills, and help maintain a safe environment.
• Transport residents as needed and participate in household activities.
• Attend household meetings/learning circles and fulfill simple resident requests.
