Arden Courts Palos Heights is hiring a part-time Resident Caregiver with a $2,500 Sign-on Bonus

The Resident Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families to ensure their satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village)
• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills; ability to speak understandable English
• Experience: Knowledge and experience working with elderly; dementia experience preferred
• License: N/A
• Certification: Required as per state regulations; must complete Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Full use of hands, arms, legs for activities like washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning
• Ability to read thermometers, charts, testing equipment; operate washers, dryers, kitchen appliances
• Good physical and mental health
