Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Northbrook is hiring a full-time Resident Caregiver

The Resident Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Wage Range

• CNA: $18.75 - $20.60 per hour depending on experience
• Resident Caregiver: $17.75 - $19.55 per hour depending on experience

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village)
• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English understandably
• Experience: Knowledge and experience working with elderly; Previous dementia experience preferred
• Certification: Certification required per state regulations; must complete Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Full use of hands, arms, legs for various care activities
• Ability to read thermometers, charts, and operate household appliances
• Good physical and mental health
