Job summary

CMHA-CEI seeks caregivers to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Lansing, MI. You will help with daily living skills, meals, cleaning, and community activities while implementing behavior plans and documenting progress.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift 40 lbs, hold a Michigan driver’s license, and pass required background checks and screenings. Part-time, relief shifts available including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow medication charts.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to lift 40 lbs; valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Background check, drug screen, and health screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in personal care and training in daily living skills.
• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.
• Maintain documentation and participate in community activities.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Follow Behavior Treatment Plans and safety protocols.
• Support residents with meals, cleaning, laundry, and homemaking tasks.
