Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Hershey, PA is seeking an Associate Healthcare Director to assist the Healthcare Director in leading health and wellness activities for residents. You will oversee a team of medication technicians and nursing assistants to ensure quality care while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, developing individualized care plans, coordinating with physicians and pharmacists, training med tech staff, and ensuring survey

Qualifications

• Current valid and unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents prior to move-in to determine care needs. Conducts re-evaluations as indicated by state regulations or resident condition.
• Develops a service plan for each resident based on evaluation and preferences; revises as indicated by regulations or condition.
• Collaborates with residents' physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare providers for coordinated care.
• Oversees medication management; trains med techs and validates skills; conducts audits to promote safety in medication administration.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensures resident evaluations and documentation meet requirements and prepares survey readiness.
• Participates in corrective plan development and compliance.
• Keeps infection control standards to prevent spread of infections.
• Provides training and skill validation for med techs and aides.
• Participates in hiring and onboarding of care staff.
• Attends community and resident care meetings when HCD unavailable.
• Promotes a collaborative culture and maintains positive working relationships.
• Communicates with residents' families and responds to questions or concerns.
