Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice is seeking a non-certified care attendant to assist residents with daily activities and administer medications as ordered by physicians. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and wellbeing under state and federal regulations.

Training and growth opportunities are available. The position involves patient care tasks, meal service, mobility support, and coordination with activity staff, with a focus on compassionate resident

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medication Assistant training based on state regulations.
• Entry level position with potential training and certification support.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and dining room service as needed.
• Supervise and administer medications per physician orders and state regulations.
• Observe residents’ condition and report changes to supervisors.
• Answer call signals, conduct rounds, and ensure resident safety and security.
• Provide social interaction and encourage participation in activities and events.
• Assist in admission, orientation, discharge, and transfers.
