Job summary

Bridgeway Park Blissfield Senior Living Facility is seeking a dedicated Resident Aide to provide compassionate care to our residents. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Orientation and training are provided, with room for growth and a benefits package that starts on day one. This full-time role requires weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor.
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning.
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary.
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
