GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Resident Care Manager to oversee health and wellness on our assisted living unit. You will supervise clinical staff, coordinate admissions, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.

The role requires RN or LPN licensure, CPR/First Aid within 60 days, and strong leadership and communication skills. Applicants must meet regulatory requirements and work collaboratively with multiple teams.

Description

The Resident Care Manager is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of residents on our assisted living unit , supervising clinical staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to residents on our assisted living unit . This position serves as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers, and plays a critical role in coordinating admissions, managing clinical operations, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Resident Care Manager may be a licensed nurse or registered medication aide qualified to act as a main support in the absence of the H ealth and Wellness Director ’s absence . Administrative support for clinical leadership, and on-call or rotating support as a main clinical POC or communication liaison during staffing constraints, holidays or other coverage support needed is required .

Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to) : RESIDENT CARE & CLINICAL OVERSIGHT

• Plan, implement, and oversee resident admissions, assessments, and care plans.
• Monitor residents’ physical and mental health, report changes to physicians and update care plans accordingly.
• Assist with resident care, meals, and transitions (move-ins/move-outs) as needed.
• Perform medication passes and ensures proper medication storage, documentation, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, including physician orders, service plans, and mon thly charting.
• Complete and review incident reports and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure residents at risk of wandering are secure and monitored appropriately.
• Coordinate care with home health and hospice agencies in accordance with community policies.

STAFF LEADERSHIP & SUPERVISION

• Supervise and support clinical staff.
• Manage caregiver scheduling and resident assignments within departmental guidelines.
• Train new team members and coordinate ongoing in-service education.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, praise, or disciplinary action as needed.
• Read and respond to communication notes between shifts to ensure continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative, respectful, and compassionate workplace culture.

COMPLIANCE & QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Develop and maintain a Quality Assurance Program for care staff.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Complete all required training.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Committee in identifying and correcting deficiencies.
• Conduct monthly checks of firs t aid kits and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
• Respond to call lights, door alarms, and other alerts as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and uphold resident rights.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & COGNITIVE ABILITIES:

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend, lift, grasp, push, and pull at a high volume and frequency for long periods of time.
• Can tolerate bright lights, loud noises, odors, changes in temperature settings -to include cold or hot climates, exposure to infectious/communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, and other disease related environments.
• Efficiently and effectively manage unpredictable schedules, distractions, changes of pace or priorities, on a regular basis.
• Fine hand coordination and ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to remain calm under stress and follow training protocols.
• Capable of performing heavy and or unstable lifting of 50lbs or greater when necessary.
• Must be accurate , dependable, and thorough in all assigned tasks.

Honor resident rights and follow all established protocols for care, safety, and service delivery.

Maintain required education, certifications , and credentials.

Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.

Promptly report any incidents or compliance concerns to the appropriate supervisor .
