Better Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, safety, and engagement. You will work closely with the Health & Wellness team to deliver compassionate, dignified care in a memory-focused environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meals, and mobility, while maintaining accurate documentation and following care plans. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and creating joyful moments for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Caregiving or senior living experience is a plus but not required—training provided.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or assist residents safely.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to serving older adults.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobility support.
• Provide meal assistance, hydration, and encouragement to maintain independence.
• Observe and report changes in condition to the nurse or Health & Wellness Director.
• Support residents in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Follow care plans and service plans with accuracy and intention.
• Participate in daily programming and Better Days Memory Care activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and honor life stories, routines, and joys.
• Promote resident choice, dignity, and autonomy in all interactions.
• Create a welcoming, family-centered environment aligned with Better Living standards.
• Follow infection control protocols, emergency procedures, and policies.
• Document care, activities, and observations accurately.
• Communicate clearly with nurses, leadership, and peers to ensure continuity of care.
