Job summary

Aztec Healthcare is seeking compassionate staff to support its clinical team and residents. The role includes helping nursing staff with daily tasks, preparing rooms, and ensuring safety and comfort for residents.

You will collaborate with nurses to deliver respectful, person-centered care, assist with mobility and transfers, and help maintain a clean, organized environment in a community-focused facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff on the floor by making beds and passing meals.
• Passes ice and water, linens, and answers call lights.
• Distributes resident laundry and provides non‑hands‑on care as requested.
• Assists with decorating bulletin boards and delivering mail to resident rooms.
• Assists visually impaired residents with reading mail.
• Cleans and organizes equipment, wheels, and tray tables; changes batteries on lifts.
• Ensures rooms are ready for new residents (beds made, name tags, admission kit).
• Assists residents with packing possessions during transfers or discharge.
• Checks residents regularly to ensure personal care needs are met.
• Assists with lifting, positioning and transporting residents as needed and prepares for appointments.
