Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to support our care community in Sioux Falls, SD. The role focuses on daily cleaning, safety, and resident comfort.

You will perform cleaning tasks, follow infection control procedures, coordinate with nursing, and help keep rooms and common areas tidy and welcoming.

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to follow policies, with training provided to ensure a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
• Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping functions and tasks; follow safety precautions and infection control procedures.
• Ensure work schedules are followed and coordinated with nursing services when cleaning resident areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and attractive work areas and store equipment and supplies properly.
• Dispose of PPE according to sanitation procedures.
• Assist with moving heavy equipment and supplies as directed.
• Clean furnishings, fixtures, windows, floors, walls, and ceilings in resident rooms and common areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
