Summary:

The Resident Care Director is responsible for coordinating resident care to ensure residents remain as independent as possible. They assist residents and families in maintaining physical, psychosocial, and emotional well-being, act as a liaison with healthcare providers, and oversee staff management, compliance, and community representation.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Participate actively in community occupancy growth and represent the community positively.
  • Manage overall community operations, delegate responsibilities, and ensure effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Develop quality improvement, strategic, and safety programs.
  • Manage outreach, partnerships, staffing, budgeting, and staff training.
  • Handle resident complaints, incident reports, and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Oversee staff performance reviews, counseling, and corrective actions.
  • Administer medications with physician orders, and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Participate in budget preparation, community marketing, and in-service training.
  • Ensure staffing coverage, participate in management programs, and perform other duties as needed.

CT Specific Requirements:

  • Oversee nursing and assisted living services, supervise staff, ensure clinical competence, and participate in program planning and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Computer literacy and familiarity with office software.
  • Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and emergency handling.
  • Licensed LPN or RN in the practicing state.

  • Active nursing license and valid driver’s license.
