• LPN preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Previous assisted living, memory care, senior living, or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication management, resident assessment, care planning, and documentation.
• Ability to effectively lead and hold a care team accountable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changing resident and staffing needs.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, sound judgment, and a resident-first approach.

• Participate in new-resident assessments and determine placement and level of care.

Resident Care Director

Vibrant Life Senior Living of Temperance is seeking an experienced Resident Care Director to join our leadership team.

The Resident Care Director is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and accountability of the resident care department while ensuring residents receive safe, consistent, high-quality care. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with community leadership, residents, families, physicians, pharmacy, and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and daily oversight of the resident care team
• Supervise, train, coach, and hold the care team accountable to established expectations
• Ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling of the resident care department
• Complete and oversee resident assessments, care plans, and required documentation
• Monitor changes in resident condition and ensure appropriate follow-up and communication
• Oversee medication management practices, medication carts, documentation, and medication-related processes
• Conduct routine resident and community rounds to ensure care needs and service expectations are being met
• Ensure resident care assignments and responsibilities are clearly established and completed
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, pharmacy, hospice, home health, and other providers
• Participate in new-resident assessments and help determine appropriate placement and level of care
• Ensure resident and employee records meet company and regulatory requirements
• Maintain compliance with applicable Michigan HFA and AFC regulations, company policies, and established standards of care
• Investigate resident care concerns, incidents, and changes in condition and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Participate in hiring, orientation, training, performance management, and ongoing development of resident care staff
• Share in leadership/on-call responsibilities and provide support during staffing or resident-care needs when necessary
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and leadership team to maintain a safe, accountable, resident-centered community

Qualifications:
