Job summary

Oxford Senior Living in Durant, OK is seeking a Resident Care Director (LPN or RN) to provide leadership and health care services for residents, including development of health plans and directing Care Team Supervisors and Caregivers.

You will supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate hiring and training, and serve as the primary contact for resident health care and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold LPN/LVN license and be board certified.
• Experience in senior living preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and assessments per licensure and state regulations.
• Lead and train Care Team Supervisors and Caregivers.
• Develop and manage Health Service Plans and oversee related regulatory requirements.

Your Resident Care Director (LPN or RN) duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Position Summary

This position provides overall leadership and health care services for residents in the community, including leadership for the development and implementation of health services plans for each resident and directs the work of Care Team Supervisors and Caregivers.

Essential Functions

General Nursing

• Provide general care and treatment for residents as required within the scope of individual licensure and within the state in which the community is located
• Provide nursing assessments for current and prospective residents as required by federal/state regulations and/or organizational policy
• Function as a liaison and advocate for residents with physicians and outside nursing staff
• Administer all pre-employment and annual staff Tuberculin testing
• Provide nursing support. Delegates coverage of duties when unavailable

Leadership and Training

• Coordinate the selection and hiring of Care Team Supervisors and Caregivers
• Develop and manage the scheduling for the Care Team Supervisor and Caregivers
• Direct and monitor the work of Caregivers, i.e., nursing assistants and medication aides, in the community
• Conduct training as assigned and mandated by regulatory requirements

Health Care Services Planning

• Responsible for the accuracy of the Negotiated Services Agreement, including the Health Service Plan, and updating per state regulation and with any significant change
• Direct and implement the Health Service Plan

Sales and Customer Service

• Function as the primary point of contact regarding resident health care and/or services, proactively communicating with all stakeholders any change in resident condition
• Meet with current and prospective families to communicate the provision of health care services in the community
• Promote the scope of services provided within the community to external medical providers

Minimum Qualifications

• Board certified Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Experience in senior living

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) years of nursing experience in a leadership role within long term care
• Previous nursing experience in memory care

Physical Working Requirements

• Ability to travel using personal vehicle, including at night
• Able to do occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends
• Team Member is subject to outside environment conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change
