Job summary

Cedar Court in Wisconsin is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator to manage staffing, scheduling, and daily operations for a senior living community. You’ll collaborate with the Housing Director to ensure high-quality care and regulatory compliance while supporting staff development.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling accuracy, and effective communication with residents, families, and team members, with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience as a manager or in an operations/performance role.
  • Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving with independent decision-making when needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Experience working with elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staffing process, monitor coverage, and address gaps.
  • Develop and adjust staff schedules to meet needs and policies.
  • Coordinate coverage for call-ins and vacancies, ensuring continuity.
  • Monitor daily staffing and reallocate staff as needed.
  • Cover open shifts when required and maintain records.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and staff evaluations.
  • Support daily operations with the Housing Director.

What You'll Do:
  • Oversee the full staffing process, including monitoring staffing levels, identifying gaps, and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust staff schedules to meet operational needs while adhering to organizational policies and labor regulations
  • Coordinate coverage for call-ins, vacancies, and schedule changes, ensuring continuity of care and minimizing service disruptions
  • Monitor daily staffing levels and proactively address shortages by reallocating staff, arranging replacements, or escalating concerns when necessary
  • Cover open shifts when needed based on schedule needs
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records, including shift assignments, attendance updates, and staffing adjustments
  • Assist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the facility
  • Work with the Director to coordinate and supervise daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, and monitor attainment of objectives
  • Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education of care staff, as well as overall staff evaluations
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in state surveys
  • Maintain scheduling of events and represent the company when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Housing Director
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma/GED, plus one to three months of related experience
  • Experience as a manager or in a similar operations/performance management role
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving, with the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Ability to deal tactfully and work harmoniously with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public
  • Punctual, with a good attendance record and a positive, energetic attitude
  • Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Frequent standing, sitting, and walking for long periods; occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds; ability to transport residents in wheelchairs
