Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide compassionate personal care to residents per individualized care plans. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and medication reminders, under supervision of the Healthcare Coordinator.

The position requires at least six months of caregiving experience, completion of a medication management course, and CPR within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• Completion of required medication management course.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Nurse’s Aide certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs and report deviations to supervising nurse.
• Assist residents with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, nutrition, ambulation, transfers, and medication reminders.
• Follow ISP and daily task sheets; communicate status changes to supervisors.
• Maintain safe and clean resident environments; document progress.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities.
• Attend biweekly in-service meetings and mandatory trainings.
