Job summary

Franciscan Ministries in Wheeling, IL is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist residents with activities of daily living, provide medication reminders, and support social and spiritual pursuits.

You will help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and light housekeeping, monitor changes, document appropriately, and communicate with the care team to promote dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1-2+ years of caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to show compassion and empathy toward residents and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders.
• Identify residents’ physical and cognitive changes, making follow-up decisions, documentation, and communication to associates.
• Assist residents with leisure time programming, escorting to and from activities.
• Assist with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with policies and procedures and updates.
