The primary purpose of this position is to provide each of the assigned residents with routine daily care by assisting with direct and indirect resident care duties, as directed by the charge nurse and/or certified nursing assistants.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting residents in dressing and personal hygiene.
2. Supporting CNAs with residents requiring two-staff transfers, excluding mechanical transfers.
3. Making occupied and unoccupied beds.
4. Assisting in obtaining weights and providing full or partial bed baths.
5. Performing incontinent care for residents capable of moving in bed.
6. Assisting residents not at risk for swallowing or aspiration with meals, including passing, setting up, and collecting trays.
7. Placing belongings within residents' reach and answering call bells promptly.
8. Transporting residents to dining, appointments, or outdoor visits as needed.
9. Providing 1:1 supportive interactions, such as reading mail or newspapers, or assisting with communication technology.
10. Monitoring residents for safety with 1:1 supervision when necessary.
11. Organizing and maintaining residents' closets and dressers, ensuring personal care items are stocked.
12. Gathering supplies and passing out linens and drinks to residents, encouraging hydration.
13. Reporting resident intake, assisting with nourishment distribution, and checking fall precautions.
14. Cleaning wheelchairs, tubs, showers, and assisting with admissions and diagnostic appointments.
15. Directing visitors, handling administrative tasks like photocopying and faxing.

Hunt offers support for RCAs to pursue CNA certification and become licensed.
