Job summary

The Boston Home in Boston, MA is seeking a caring, reliable staff member for a part-time evening shift (4p-8p) to support residents in a 96-bed community for adults with neurological conditions. The role focuses on compassionate meal delivery, setup, and hydration to help residents maintain comfort and dignity.

You will report meal consumption, assist with post-meal cleanup, respond to call lights, and coordinate with nursing staff to address resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal delivery, set up and feeding as necessary (training will be provided)
• Report on resident meal consumption, as necessary
• Assist resident in post meal set up (i.e. clearing the meal tray, and setting up resident with needed items after the meal)
• Assist with filling resident water bottles, and cups
• Perform simple water bottle cleaning protocols
• Answer resident call lights and assist residents, and/or report needs to nursing department as necessary

As a 96-bed community for adults with multiple sclerosis and other advanced neurological disorders, The Boston Home's population is younger and more stable than many care facilities, with residents often joining the community in mid-life and residing for 20+ years. You will enjoy the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with the residents for whom you care!

This is a part-time position, 4p-8p.
