Job summary

The Plaza Assisted Living in Waikiki is seeking compassionate Resident Care Aides (RCA) or Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) to provide daily resident care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, with emphasis on independence. No certification is required initially, and full, paid on-the-job training is provided.

Weekend availability is required. This role offers a supportive team and opportunities to grow within a caring community that values its residents and staff.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in caregiving and a strong desire to work with seniors.
• Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and a 2 Step TB test.
• Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain one on hire.
• Availability to work weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily resident care including bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Obtain accurate vital signs, document care and report changes.
• Assist residents to appointments and activities as scheduled.
• Report concerns to nursing leadership on shift.

Full Time: Day Shift 6am-2pm, Evening Shift 2pm-10pm, Overnight Shift 10pm-6am

Part Time & Casual Hire: Day Shift 6am-2pm, Evening Shift 2pm-10pm, Overnight Shift 10pm-6am

Must be available to work weekends - Rotating Weekends for all schedules

Starting at $17.50 per hour

Position Overview

We are looking for passionate, responsible, and caring Resident Care Aides (RCA) or Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) to join our team. The ideal candidates will share in our core values and possess strong communication and organizational skills to provide exceptional support to our residents. This role requires a flexible schedule, including mandatory weekend availability, to ensure our seniors receive round-the-clock, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily resident care, including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and incontinence/peri-care, while promoting resident independence.
• Obtain accurate vital signs, document care appropriately, and promptly report any changes in a resident's health status.
• Assist and accompany residents to scheduled appointments and activities as assigned.
• Report any resident or operational concerns immediately to the Director of Nursing, Administrator, or Charge Nurse on shift.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in caregiving and a strong desire to work closely with senior populations.
• Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and a 2 Step TB test.
• Current CPR certification, or the ability and willingness to obtain one upon hire.
• Availability to work weekend shifts.
