Salary: $16.00 - $18.02/hour

We are seeking supportive and nurturing Resident Care Aide/Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our clinical team.

Position Overview

• Assist with ensuring the health and well-being of residents by providing personal care support, including meeting physical and emotional needs under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Our assisted living and adult home communities promote independence while providing assistance with daily needs, including chores, medication management, and personal care. We prioritize resident comfort and safety with a caring staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as meal assistance, grooming, medication management, showering, dressing/undressing, toileting, and skin care.
• Use hands, arms, and fingers in repeated motions, feeling or operating objects, tools, or controls.
• Move and walk quickly and steadily in emergencies.
• Assist with wheelchair transport of residents.
• Apply and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Respond immediately to residents’ requests.
• Document duties performed and communicate changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse.
• Maintain standards for resident care and service excellence.
• Assist with meal service and maintain customer focus.
• Observe confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety practices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Provide high levels of customer service.
• Respond flexibly to changing situations and reprioritize work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification in approved basic training program for home health aide services, with current skills testing approval.
• Assist residents with all aspects of Daily Living Activities, including bathing, toileting, and transferring.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly, up to 55 pounds occasionally, and perform two-person lifts up to 120 pounds.
• Effective communication skills in English.
