Job summary

Prescott Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care under supervision, assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene and use of adaptive equipment.

You will participate in staff reports, explain procedures to residents, maintain clean linens and assist with bed making. A State Approved Nurse Aide Training and competency evaluation, and good standing on the state registry are required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Must be listed on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing; ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)
