Job summary

The Bristal at Bethpage is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands‑on care and companionship for residents in a premier senior living community located in Bethpage, NY. You will support daily activities, promote safety, and uphold a high standard of respectful, dignified care.

This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and consistent, patient interaction with residents and families, contributing to a welcoming and supportive living environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide
• Experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia is a plus
• Must be able to speak and read English
• Experience with geriatric population preferred and ADLs support
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines
• Basic understanding of dementia; patient and professional in redirecting residents
• Ability to adapt to different personalities and situations positively
• Reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanor
• Respect for the elderly and calm demeanor at all times

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities
• Support residents’ physical, emotional and psycho-social wellbeing
• Assist in Wellness area to ensure safety and comfort
• Follow all policies and supervisor instructions
