Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Salisbury, MD seeks an energetic Resident Care Aide to support memory-impaired residents with daily activities, preserve dignity, and promote independence. Per Diem schedule and starting wage of $15.00 per hour.

You will document care and report changes to supervisors. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred or required by law, and compassion for the elderly.

Qualifications

• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred or as required by law.
• One year in a caregiving capacity preferred.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining dignity and independence.
• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Maintain and document proper records of care.
• Report changes in resident condition to the supervisor promptly.
• Promote and encourage resident participation in community activities.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide.

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assist our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor:evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
