Job summary

The Arbors at Dracut is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Aide (RCA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with personal care, dining, activities, and housekeeping, and help create a warm, safe environment.

This role emphasizes patience, attention to detail, teamwork, and professionalism; the RCA will follow procedures, document care, and communicate with nurses and families to ensure dignity and respect for every resident.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification OR completion of a Certified Home Health Aide program.
• Ability to work with seniors with compassion and respect.
• Patience, kindness, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Reliable, team-player attitude and willingness to take ownership of duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services professionally and compassionately.
• Document care accurately and completely.
• Review and prepare shift change logs; communicate key information to incoming staff.
• Alert licensed nurses to changes in resident condition or needs.
• Respond to emergency call systems as needed.
• Follow procedures for Self-Administered Medication Management.
• Assess resident capabilities and provide assistance as needed.
• Support dining, housekeeping, and activity programs.
• Welcome relatives, guests, and visitors in a friendly manner.
• Maintain a calm, professional, and positive environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and participate in team-based care.
• Complete all required annual in-service training.

Position Summary

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification OR completion of a Certified Home Health Aide program
