Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Program Coordinator to mentor the summer camp leadership team and provide oversight of daily operations. You will schedule leadership tasks, support staff, and ensure quality programming for campers.

You will supervise staff and campers, promote YMCA values, and build positive relations with the community while maintaining safety and engagement during the summer camp season.

Qualifications

• Prefer 3 years of resident camp experience.
• Prefer 2 years of supervisory experience.
• CPR, First aid and O2 certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
• Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and supports leadership team with daily tasks.
• Schedules and organizes weekly leadership tasks.
• Oversee team meetings in the absence of Directors.
• Supervises and supports staff and campers in all programs.
• Represents and promotes YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations.
