Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, VA seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to handle resident statements and AR processes. You will support accurate billing, payments, and inquiries from residents and external customers with a resident-first focus.

Responsibilities include census verification in EMR, ACH processing, and month-end close activities. Aimed for accuracy, integrity, and teamwork within a not-for-profit Life Plan Community.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years accounts receivable experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with ability to manipulate data and present it clearly.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to participate in annual flu vaccine program.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and complaints with a resident-first approach.
• Explain and resolve questions related to monthly service fees, meal plans, credits, and billing items.
• Maintain accurate resident census and verify admissions, discharges, transfers, and leaves of absence in the EMR.
• Process changes and updates to services, payments, and payer information as requested.
• Set up ACH payments and submit monthly ACH files to the bank for processing.
• Support month-end close and prepare resident billing statements for timely distribution.
