Job summary

Burton's Ridge Assisted Living in Lima, OH is seeking a part-time Resident Associate (PRN) to support residents with daily living activities under supervision of licensed nursing staff.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and document forms, while maintaining infection control and compassionate care for residents and families.

Qualifications

• A grammar school education is essential.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in similar caregiving roles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, personal hygiene and ambulation.
• Complete necessary forms.
• Assist with taking resident weights and vital signs.
• Report any abnormal findings, injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and unsafe conditions.
• Attend required in-service education.
• Housekeeping of resident suites and common areas.
• Complete residents' personal laundry and community linens.
• Assist in dining areas, activities and orientation for new residents.
• Follow Infection Control and Safety Practices.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff and visitors.

Description

Position Summary:

Resident Assistance performs direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel according to the LOC Functional Assessment Guidelines.

Position responsibilities for a Resident Assistance:

• Assist residents in all activities of daily living, to include, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, personal hygiene and ambulation
• Complete necessary forms
• Assist with taking resident weights and vital signs
• Report any abnormal findings, such as, injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and any unsafe conditions
• Attend required in-service education
• Housekeeping of resident suites and common areas
