American House Senior Living Communities in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide direct personal care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, mobility, and safety on a day‑to‑day basis.

Qualifications

  • Experience in caregiving or healthcare required.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 lbs as needed for resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to leadership.
  • Encourage resident engagement in activities, programs, and social events.
  • Follow individualized care plans to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident apartments and common areas.
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Support new resident orientation and help them feel welcome in the community.
