Job Description

As a Resident Assistant, you will support residents with daily activities, promote independence and individuality, and respect their privacy in accordance with regulations. You will also help optimize residents' well-being and overall experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing support, medication reminders, and dressing assistance.
• Escort residents to dining and activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls.
• Report any changes in residents' conditions to management.
• Deliver meal trays and assist with housekeeping and meal service.
• Cross-train in other duties like visitor tours, answering phones, and activities assistance.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Skills/Experience: CNA and First Aid certification preferred; 0-2 years of experience; good communication skills; ability to interpret instructions; problem-solving skills; ability to maintain good relationships; high level of customer service.

Physical Demands

Must be prepared to work with residents exhibiting disruptive behaviors. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Additional Information

Travel is not required. Salary ranges from $16 to $18 per hour. Entry-level position in the healthcare industry.
