Job summary

Community Care Alliance is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant (16 hours) for 2nd shift to help maintain safety and order at our shelter. You will monitor resident activities, ensure building safety, and assist with shelter policies while performing routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include completing property circuits, logging arrivals after curfew, providing crisis intervention with on-call support, and documenting incidents with care and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record clients coming in after curfew.
• Provide crisis intervention with the assistance of on call staff.
• Respond to resident concerns and document appropriately.
• Record all incidents on a typed incident form as required.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings and required trainings.
• Handle all client information confidentially and with respect.
• Perform shift cleaning and maintenance chores.
• Any duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Ensure general safety and structure of the shelter by monitoring resident activities as they pertain to shelter rules and policies. Additionally, ensure general safety of the residents by ensuring the building structure is properly cared for and maintained.

• Respond to resident concerns (provide concern form if needed).
• Record all incidents on a typed incident form as required.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings.

• Perform all shift cleaning and maintenance chores.
• Any duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalency. Experience in related field preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to climb stairs to the third floor; valid driver's license.
