Job Description

Full Time, 6am-2pm, includes every other weekend

Starting Pay: $16.00/hr

The Resident Assistant provides assistance to residents, meeting or exceeding community expectations. Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, documenting care, and transporting residents. Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly are essential.

  • Assist with daily living activities such as grooming, hygiene, bathing, hair care, and maintaining resident apartments
  • Document and report care provided and resident observations
  • Obtain vital signs, heights, and weights

Qualifications

To succeed, you should have:

  • A friendly attitude, eagerness to learn, and compassion for residents
  • If under 18, proper schoolwork authorization if applicable
  • Completion of all state educational requirements; CPR preferred
  • First Aid certification and Heimlich Maneuver training (may be provided by the company)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with the elderly, especially in memory care, is preferred
