Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Cedar Creek of Marion, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Home Health Aide (HHA) at our Cedar Creek of Marion community.

As a Home Health Aide, you will assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs which enable the resident to maintain good personal hygiene, carry out activities of daily living, maintain good health, and participate in community activities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting residents with personal care needs such as grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
  • Responding to signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs proactively.
  • Taking and recording vital signs and food and fluid intake/output as directed.
  • Transporting and assisting residents with walking, turning, or repositioning, alone or with assistance.
  • Changing bed linens, running errands, directing visitors, and answering the telephone.
  • Assisting with laundry, housekeeping, and meal assistance.
  • Encouraging residents to participate in activities and supporting their emotional wellbeing.
  • Communicating effectively with residents' families and team members about residents' care.
  • Working collaboratively with staff, taking direction, and engaging in conflict resolution as needed.
  • Meeting physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of experience as a resident assistant preferred.
  • Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and HR systems.
