Job summary

Koelsch Communities is seeking an enthusiastic Caregiver to join our Resident Services Department at El Rio memory care in Modesto, CA. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities with shifts from 6AM to 2PM, 2PM to 10PM, and 10PM to 6AM.

Earn $18–$19 per hour, depending on experience, with a CNA Certification Program paid by us. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, and other insurances, employer HSA contributions, a $500 referral bonus, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to assist with activities of daily living.
• May require CPR/First-Aid certification as needed.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Engage residents in conversation and activities while providing personal care.
• Respond promptly to care needs and coordinate with licensed nurses as required.
• Keep environments safe and clean for residents.
• Monitor residents and report changes to staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Who You Are

You pride yourself in providing exceptional hospitality and personal assistance. This role delivers in a safe and efficient manner the highest quality individualized assistance program to all residents.

What You'll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility


• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance


• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary


• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents


• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times


• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire


• Must have ability to gain CPR/ First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations.


• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
